Welcome

WELCOME TO THE ISB COMMUNITY

Welcome to ISB and thank you for taking the time to look at the ISB website and for showing an interest in what we do. Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make in ensuring they have a successful future and we hope to accommodate any queries you may have.

“At ISB, you will find a warm and inclusive learning environment. Our student body consists of children from both international and local families.

Likewise, our staff is highly qualified and with a deep interest in meeting and challenging the children at their level.

We hire teachers who are experts in their field and connect with all of our students”.

– Viki Stiebert, ISB Director

Each individual at ISB is recognized as a treasured part of our community. We support our students in developing their best selves and realize their potential, whatever their interest and passion.

We take pride in offering an inclusive learning environment where new students are quickly absorbed into their everyday school life here at ISB. We strongly believe in the importance of our core values which are: community, integrity, respect and responsibility. These are actively lived by our students, staff and ISB families.

The school was founded in 1975, which means that we have more than 45 years experience in teaching children from all around the world.

As an IB world school, as well as being accredited by NEASC and CIS, ISB offer an internationally relevant education of high academic and social emotional learning standards. Your child will be set up for success in their learning journey through the International Baccelaureate’s (IB) PYP and MYP programmes. We were actually the first MYP accredited school, back in 1987.

Being an internationally accredited school allows new families to seamlessly transfer to and integrate the ISB curriculum when arriving from other international schools.
